Wednesday Pier Farmers Market Resumes July 1
The Wednesday Pier Farmers Market at the St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier parking lot, 350 A1A Beach Blvd., will resume modified operations from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning July 1. In accordance with recommended CDC guidelines, the following protocols will be in place:

  • Vendors are required to wear face-covering masks.
  • Traffic will flow one way through the event site.
  • Ten feet of space will be between each vendor site.
  • Each vendor site will be marked to indicate six feet of space between vendor and patron.
  • No onsite food consumption will be permitted. All purchased foods must be taken offsite.
  • Vendors will include farms, hot foods and food trucks, grocery and prepared foods, personal protection and care items, and arts and crafts.

Ocean and Fishing Pier Gift Shop and Visitor Information Center

The St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier Gift Shop and Visitor Information Center reopened to the public on May 22, after a five-month rehabilitation project. The gift shop and visitor information center will remain open to the public from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week, during the summer season. During the project, all deck boards, guard rails, posts, support beams, exposed piles, and boardwalk boards were replaced. The rehabilitation project is projected to extend the life of the pier for up to 10 years. Passes to access the pier or fish from the pier can be purchased in the gift shop. The fees are as follows:

  • Sightseeing – $2.00
  • Fishing
    • Residents – $4.00
    • Non-residents – $6.00
    • Military or handicapped – $2.00
    • Children under six or resident seniors over 60 – Free
  • Annual Passes
    • Residents – $40.00
    • Non-residents – $60.00
    • Military or handicapped – $20.00

St. Johns County Reopening Strategy – Phase One

In consideration of Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order 20-112 outlining Florida’s plan for recovery, St. Johns County is launching a phased reopening approach in collaboration with the City of St. Augustine, the City of St. Augustine Beach, and local health care and law enforcement agencies.

The health, safety, and welfare of St. Johns County residents remain the top priorities in the development and implementation of the reopening strategy. Phase One of St. Johns County’s reopening includes:

  • Beaches – Beginning Monday, May 4, all restrictions previously in place on St. Johns County beaches are rescinded. CDC guidelines and social distancing restrictions remain in place.
  • Recreational Facilities – All recreational facilities, including recreation centers, pools, pavilions, etc., remain closed and unavailable for reservations or rentals.
  • Recreational Programing – All recreational programing, including open play, camps, and league activities, remain suspended.
  • Distancing and Industry Guidelines – It is recommended that the public continue to adhere to the CDC social distancing guidelines of limiting gatherings to no more than 10 persons and maintaining a minimum distance of six feet between parties. The St Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier is the perfect place to relax while fishing or sightseeing. The Pier Gift Shop offers all of your beach item needs, refreshments, food choices, souvenirs, fish pole, chair and umbrella rentals. The Visitor Information Center is located within the Gift Shop to provide information to residents and visitors of all that St. Augustine has to offer. The Pier is located on a 4 acre beachfront park with many facilities and attractions for the whole family to enjoy. Many community events are held at the Pier Pavilion including arts and crafts shows, concerts, farmer’s market, and festivals.
