At a Glance
The Property Appraiser is constitutionally mandated with only
two duties. They are to assess property and to administer exemptions. The
Property Appraiser does not determine the amount of taxes each property
owner pays. Your Property Appraiser and staff place fair market values on
all 94,000 real and tangible personal properties in St. Johns County
totaling close to 15 billion dollars and administers over 40,000 exemptions
totaling over 2 billion dollars.
