Adjustment and Appeals Board
Purpose: To hear requests for code interpretation and cases for Unsafe Building Abatement Codes.

Architectural Review Committee
Purpose: This committee ensures enhanced property development while maintaining and encouraging quality character of design within the Ponte Vedra and Ponte Vedra/Palm Valley Overlay Districts in line with the goals and objectives of the St. Johns County Comprehensive plan

Arts, Cultural, and Heritage Funding Panel
Purpose: The Funding Panel is an advisory committee to the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners. Its charge is to evaluate and rank funding application in accordance with the approved funding guideline as enumerated by the mission and goals established by the Tourist Development Council and in accordance with Chapter 125.0104, Florida Statues.

Citizens Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee
Purpose: The purpose of the Citizens Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee is to advise the Board of County Commissioners on floodplain management and hazard mitigation strategies. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the evaluation of (1) a program for public information, (2) a flood insurance coverage improvement plan and (3) a floodplain management or hazard mitigation plan.

Contractors Review Board
Purpose: The Contractors Review Board ensures proper administration of contractor licensing and discipline of licensees. This board provides qualified trades workers for the citizens of St. Johns County by upholding contractor licensing requirements to assure public safety within the construction industry. New members must be residents of St. Johns County for at least two years prior to appointment. The Board includes representation from each of the following licensed professions; General, Building, or Residential Contractor, Roofing Contractor, Swimming Pool Contractor, Electrical Contractor, Plumbing Contractor, Mechanical or Air Conditioning Contractor, Class II Contractor and two citizens with no contractor industry involvement.

Health and Human Services Advisory Council
Purpose: This Council evaluates human services programs in the community, assists in determining the effectiveness of programs, reduces duplication of services and assures the health and human services needs of the residents of St. Johns County are met. They review applications requesting county funding for programs that provide health, mental health, substance abuse and social services and submit recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners.

Housing Finance Authority
Purpose: Increase the supply of affordable housing opportunities through tax–exempt and taxable bonds and other available program resources.

Industrial Development Authority
Purpose: Financing and refinancing projects for the public purposes described in the Florida Industrial Development Financing Act, for the purpose of fostering the economic development of St. Johns County.

Mid-Anastasia Design Review Board
Purpose: The purpose of the Mid-Anastasia Design Review Board is to determine compliance with Part 3.08.00 Mid-Anastasia Overlay District of the St. Johns County Land Development Code, Ordinance 99-51, as amended.

North Coastal Corridor Overlay District Design Review Board
Purpose: The purpose of the North Coastal Corridor Overlay District Design Review Board is to determine compliance with Part 3.09.00 North Coastal Overlay District and Part 3.10.00 Vilano Beach Town Center Overlay of the St. Johns County Land Development Code, Ordinance 99-5l, as amended.

Planning and Zoning Board
Purpose: An advisory board and recommending body to the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners on matters relating to zoning of land, amendment of Land Development Regulations, Land Use amendments and Major Modifications to Planned Unit Developments and Planned Rural Developments.

Ponte Vedra Zoning & Adjustment Board
Purpose: Regulate and restrict the height and size of buildings; to regulate and restrict the intensity of land use; to regulate the area of yards, courts and other space about buildings, to classify, regulate and restrict the location of commerce and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified industrial, commercial, residential and other uses within the Ponte Vedra Zoning District.

Recreation Advisory Board
Purpose: An advisory committee that provides a sounding board for new ideas, assist in solving problems, act as liaison when called upon to other governmental bodies, represent the Recreation and Parks Department’s posture on sensitive issues in the public arena and to assist in the establishment and carrying out of goals and objectives and budget preparation to provide leisure time programs and facilities.

South Anastasia Design Review Board
Purpose: The purpose of the South Anastasia Design Review Board is to determine compliance with Part 3.07.00 South Anastasia Overlay of the St. Johns County Land Development Code, Ordinance 99-51, as amended.
