Ponte Vedra Zoning & Adjustment Board (1)
Purpose of Committee: Regulate and restrict the height and size of buildings; to regulate and restrict the intensity of land use; to regulate the area of yards, courts and other space about buildings, to classify, regulate and restrict the location of commerce and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified industrial, commercial, residential and other uses within the Ponte Vedra Zoning District.
Qualifications: Must be a register voter in St Johns County and reside in the Ponte Vedra Zoning District. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting Schedule: This Board meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 3:00pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL 32084

West Augustine Nuisance Abatement Board (7)
Purpose of Committee: To conduct hearings regarding complaints of public nuisance within the West Augustine CRA. Also, promote, protect, and improve the health, safety and welfare of the citizens and businesses within the West Augustine Community Revitalization Area (CRA).
Qualifications: Applicants must be a County resident for at least one year, 18 years or older, residing within or operating a business within the West Augustine CRA.
Term: Regular members as well as alternates serve a term of four (4) years.
Meeting Schedule: This board meets quarterly.

Contractors Review Board (4)
Purpose of Board: To insure proper administration of contractor licensing and discipline of licensed and unlicensed construction workers.
Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of St. Johns County for at least two years prior to appointment.  Seeking Pool Contractor, General Contractor and Mechanical or Air Conditioning Contractor, and 2 Residents with no ties to the construction industry. Members serve a term of four (4) years.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 5:00pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View.

South Anastasia Design Review Board (1 Alternate and 3 Members)
Purpose of Committee: The purpose of the South Anastasia Design Review Board is to protect and preserve the "Old Florida" style, rural beach community in the South Anastasia Overlay District and achieve specific goals and objective of the St. Johns County Comprehensive Plan. The Design Review Board's (DRB) primary responsibility is to determine compliance with Part 3.07.00 South Anastasia Overlay of the St. Johns County Land Development Code, Ordinance 99-51, as amended.
Qualifications: Must be a St. Johns County resident who has shown an interest in the history and design of the Anastasia Community. Prefer at least one regular member who owns or operates an active business with a physical presence within the District and meet the Membership Area overlay residency requirements. Also, at least one (1) regular member shall demonstrate experience and expertise in architecture, design, planning, landscape architecture, history, or other relevant expertise of the Anastasia Community. This member does not need to meet the Membership Area overlay resident requirements. In the event there are no qualified applicants for this position, an applicant that meets the Membership Area overlay residency requirements may be appointed. All other members shall meet the Membership Area overlay residency requirements are to reside on Anastasia Island south of Dondanville Road. Members are required to file a financial disclosure.

Mid-Anastasia Design Review Board (2 Alternate)
Purpose of Committee: The purpose of the Mid-Anastasia Design Review Board is to protect natural resources, maintain and enhance the diverse and unique character of the Mid-Anastasia Overlay District and achieve specific goals and objective of the St. Johns County Comprehensive Plan. The Design Review Board’s (DRB) primary responsibility is to determine compliance with Part 3.08.00 Mid-Anastasia Overlay District of the St. Johns County Land Development Code, Ordinance 99-51, as amended.
Qualifications: Must be a St. Johns County resident who has shown an interest in the history and design of the Anastasia Community. In the event there are no applicants meeting the above criteria, a member who resides within the Overlay District may be appointed. Prefer members have experience in architecture, design, planning, landscape architecture, history, or other relevant expertise of the Anastasia Community. Membership Area overlay residency requirements are to reside on Anastasia Island and north of Weff Road and Satsuma Avenue.
Term: Regular members as well as alternates serve a term of four (4) years. Members are required to file a financial disclosure.
Meeting Schedule: This Board meets the second Thursday of every month at 3:00pm in the County Permit Center, 4040 Lewis Speedway.

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (2)
Purpose of Committee: To review established policies and procedures, ordinances, land development regulations, and adopted local government comprehensive plan and recommend specific action or initiatives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing while protecting the ability of the property to appreciate in value.
Qualifications: Seeking applicants in connection with affordable housing, one actively engaged in the residential home building industry and one actively engaged in the banking or mortgage banking industry.
Term: Members serve a term of four (4) years.

Northwest Communication Tower Advisory Board (4)
Purpose of Committee: Review proposals for expenditure of income derived from the lease of Mills Field property.
Qualifications: Applicants must reside in the portion of St. Johns County bounded on the east by the westerly right-of-way of I-95; bounded on the south by the northerly right-of-way of CR 210 (from I-95 to Greenbrier Road); and by the northerly right-of-way of Greenbrier Road and its westerly extension (to the westerly boundary of St. Johns County); bounded on the west and north by the County line.
Members will represent: 1) County Commission District 1; 2) a demonstrated interest in passive recreation (i.e. garden club member, member of environmental group); 3) be a member of an athletic association; 4) be a member of a civic association.
Meeting Schedule: This Board meets semi-annually in the evenings at the Veterans Park Office located at 1332 Veterans Parkway, St. Johns, FL.

Architectural Review Committee (2 Regular Members and 1 Alternate)
Purpose of Committee: To ensure enhanced property development while maintaining and encouraging quality character of design within the Ponte Vedra and Ponte Vedra/Palm Valley Overlay Districts in line with the goals and objectives of the St. Johns County Comprehensive Plan.
Qualifications: Seeking applicants who are a registered architect in the State of Florida or a retired architect formerly registered in the State of Florida and reside within the Ponte Vedra Zoning District. Seeking applicants who reside within the Ponte Vedra Zoning District. Seeking applicants who reside in District 4, but outside of the Ponte Vedra Zoning District. (Alternate Member Position)
Term: Regular members as well as alternates serve a term of four (4) years.
Meeting Schedule: This committee meets every fourth Wednesday of each month from 5 - 8:30 p.m. in the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

Fire Code Board of Appeals (14) 
Purpose of Committee: To rule on matters relating to the Fire Code and its enforcement in accordance with NFPA Section 1.10.
Qualifications: Applicant must be a County resident and have experience in one of the following:    Engineering or architectural design;  General contracting;  Fire protection contracting;  Fire department operations or code enforcement;  Building code enforcement;  Legal; and General public.
Term:  Seven (7) Regular members as well as seven (7) alternates serve a term of three  (3) years.
Meeting Schedule: Meetings of the Board of Appeals shall be held at the call of the chair, at such other times as the Board of Appeals determines, and within 30 days of the filing of a notice of appeal.
